If you know Robooter, you know the E40. It is our best-selling power wheelchair, and you can spot it almost everywhere.
But we believe there is always room to grow. We spent time listening to the people who matter most: our loyal riders and our trusted dealers. You told us what you loved and what could be even better.
We took all that feedback and gave the E40 a complete upgrade. The changes were so significant that calling it an “E40 Version 2” simply didn’t do it justice. So we gave it a brand-new name: the Robooter E80.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s new and how it compares to the classic E40.

The Key Upgrades from E40 to E80
Four upgrades that make the E80 feel meaningfully different in everyday use.
A Carbon Fiber Frame & 20 lbs Lighter
The biggest and most exciting upgrade is the weight. We replaced the classic alloy frame of the E40 with aerospace-grade carbon fiber. The result? The E80 weighs just 35 lbs—a major drop from the E40’s 55.1 lbs. Lifting it into the trunk of an SUV or carrying it up a step feels much easier.
Redesigned for Travel and Flights
While the E40 was known as a great indoor wheelchair, the E80 is built with travel in mind. It features an ultra-lightweight design and a standard 12Ah airline-friendly battery, making trips, airport handling, and everyday transport much more convenient.
More Room to Relax
We made the chair lighter without compromising comfort. In fact, we improved it. The seat width expands from 420 mm to 540 mm (about 21.2 inches), giving riders noticeably more room and a more comfortable seating experience.
Enhanced Stability and Safety
Safety is always a priority. The E80 improves dynamic stability from 9° to 10°, helping riders feel more grounded and confident when navigating gentle slopes and everyday outdoor paths.
