About Robooter
Our story began in Shanghai in 2016, when Shanghai BangBang Robotics Co., Ltd. was founded to develop and manufacture intelligent mobility products. Hong Kong Robooter Limited was established as a wholly owned subsidiary, marking the next step in bringing Robooter to a wider international audience and building a global brand centered on warm, human-centered mobility technology. Since then, we have continued to grow Robooter step by step, helping people with mobility challenges live with greater freedom, dignity, and independence.
Brand DNA
Robooter was built on a simple belief shared by our founder, Jack Li: when design removes barriers, more people can live independently. Since 2016, we’ve combined AI and robotics to create power wheelchairs that support everyday mobility and independence.We call this “warm technology,” smart, human-centered engineering guided by empathy. Our global team spans robotics, industrial design, and rehabilitation, united by a focus on comfort, safety, and dignity for older adults and people with disabilities.Through ongoing investment in mobility and human-centered research, we design products that make everyday movement feel easier at home and on the go. Our long-term vision is to help one billion people with mobility challenges enjoy a higher quality of life.
Milestones
2016
Robooter was founded in Shanghai, China with a vision to help people with mobility challenges live better every day.
2020
After years of R&D, we launched our first-generation smart power wheelchair, Robooter X, at CMEF.
2023
We launched the lighter, more user-friendly Robooter E Series. We established Robooter USA, and our products are now available in 40+ countries and regions.
